Hyderabad: The Prime Minister’s observations on Telangana issue had more or less exposed the arguments of some sections that State would not be divided at any cost, Prof Kodandaram, T JAC chief, said on Wednesday. Formation of Telangana State is a certainty, and Dr Manmohan Singh’s statements reiterate the fact, he said.
Kodandaram was speaking at a felicitation programme for top scorers in tenth standard organised by Ranga Reddy Private Schools Association at Ravindra Bharathi auditorium. Expressing his views on this occasion, Kodandaram laid emphasis on overhaul of education structure in the new Telangana State.
He opined that corporatisation of higher education had badly affected poorer sections. Few corporate colleges are going overboard with their promotion campaign giving a sense of feeling that a student should invariably enrol in those institutions for a bright career. And parents are falling in the traps laid by corporate colleges, Kodandaram lamented.
