Police take 300 suspicious passengers of Guwahati train into custody

The Andhra Pradesh police carried out a search operation in a Guwahati train that reached Secunderabad railway station on Saturday morning. Almost 300 people were taken into custody by the police. All of them were taken to KJR gardens near Tivoli cinema hall in Secunderabad for interrogation. Few of them were released after questioning.

The intelligence reports informed the police that the number of unofficial immigrants to Hyderabad from Bangladesh is rather at its high, nowadays. The search operation was carried out based on the information received from the intelligence sources, a top police official added. The police tried to extract every bit of information, including a possible nexus with the militants.
