The objective of the yatra is to expose the alleged complicity of Congress and YSRCP in the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh , besides explaining his party’s stand on the vexatious issue. Sources said that Naidu will tour more than 10 Assembly constituencies and attend public meetings organized by the party in villages and towns in the two districts during the yatra. The district party units were also instructed to conduct rallies and meetings in their respective areas during Naidu’s visit.
Party leaders said Naidu would continue "atma gaurava yatra" and cover all Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema districts in the next two months. The TDP leader wanted to wind up the yatra by January in view of the general election to be held in May next year.
