Hussain Sagar lake water levels nears danger mark

Heavy downpour continued to put Hyderabadis in misery. With water logged roads, commuters found it impossible to move around smoothly. Besides, traffic too came to a standstill in several areas. With incessant rains lashing the city for the last three days water levels in Hussain Sagar have risen.

The residents of the low lying areas in the vicinity are alarmed over the increasing water levels. The present water level is about 513.25 while the capacity of the Hussain Sagar lake is about 513.51. Should the rainfall get any heavy and water level rise any further, nearby areas could be submerged.
