Hyderabad : In an attempt to realize the dream of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to make Hyderabad a true global smart city, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) commissioner Somesh Kumar has come up with an innovative idea of constructing as many as 50 FOB (Foot Over Bridges) with lifts in various parts of the city. Although the concept of FOBs with escalators is popular across the globe, the concept of FOBs with lifts is new to India.

Speaking to Metro India, the GHMC Commissioner confirmed the news and said that the project would be a reality in six months. “It is true that we have decided to set up 50 FOBs with lifts.
