SCR women’s cricket team calls on SCR GM
South Central Railway Women’s cricket team, who were runners-up at the 28th All India Railway Cricket Championship for Women 2014-15 called on PK Srivastava, GM, South Central Railway, on Wednesday at Rail Nilayam. The general manager was all praise for the SCR team’s performance and advised them to pursue efforts to win the trophy next year.
South Central Railway Women’s cricket team, who were runners-up at the 28th All India Railway Cricket Championship for Women 2014-15 called on PK Srivastava, GM, South Central Railway, on Wednesday at Rail Nilayam. The general manager was all praise for the SCR team’s performance and advised them to pursue efforts to win the trophy next year.
SCR team topped the pool in Group B defeating Eastern Railway, Central Railway and North Central Railway Teams. In semifinals they defeated Southern Railway to set up the title clash with Western Railway in the finals. However, Western Railway team retained their title. SCR team stood runners-up.

The SCR team comprised Mithali Raj, Gouher Sultana, Shubhi Pandey, Shravanti Naidu, T Shani, M. Shalini, Shivanghi Raj, Asha Joy, Mamta Kanojia, Nishat Fatima, J Rameshwari, M Keerthana and Soujanya Nath. The team was coached by GS Lakshmi. Gajanan Mallya, senior deputy general manager and president of SCR Sports Association and KV Siva Prasad, general secretary, SCRSA and K Srikanth Reddi, secretary, cricket, SCRSA, were present.
