Former Bangladesh PM Khaleda Zia Charged With Sabotage. Former Bangladesh prime minister Khaleda Zia and 37 others, most of them affiliated to her Bangladesh Nationalist Party ( BNP), have been charged with sabotage in connection with a petrol bomb attack on a passenger bus in the Jatrabari area in Dahaka in January this year.

The January 23 attack claimed one life and injured 30 others, reports the Daily Star.
On May 6, detectives had submitted two charge sheets-one for murder and another for the bomb blast-against Khaleda and 37 others.
One of the charges has been filed under Special Powers Act, while the other was filed was under Penal Code and Explosive Substance Act.
This is the second time Khaleda, also a former prime minister, has been charged in a criminal case.
Khaleda is also facing three other cases for spearheading the recent blockade violence that claimed at least 95 lives, mostly in petrol and crude bombs attacks, and wreaked havoc on people's lives and economy.
Besides that, she has five corruption cases and three defamation suits filed against her.
