Karimnagar: The State Government, headed by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, has not been implementing the welfare schemes launched by former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy in the state effectively, alleged YSRCP honorary president Y S Vijayamma.
Ms Vijayamma participated in the YSRCP cadre meeting in the town on Sunday. During her speech, she lashed out at both Congress and TDP leaders on various counts. The State Government had failed to implement schemes like 108, 104 Arogyasri, fee re-imbursement for college students, pensions and Indiramma Housing properly, she alleged.
Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy took initiative for establishing Satavahana University, JNTU Engineering College, Sripada Ellampalli Project, Mid-Manair Project and Lift Irrigation schemes in Karimnagar district, she recalled.
The YSRCP leader also stated that the Government had failed to implement the welfare scheme launched by her husband for the benefit of weavers in the district, she reminded. Ms Vijayamma alleged that the Centre had been misusing the functioning of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to suit the interests of Congress party. The Union Government had been using CBI against Mulayam Singh Yadav, Ms Jayalalitha, Karunanidhi and Mamatha Banerjee, she said.
She also lambasted the TDP president N Chandra Babu Naidu. The TDP entered into poll alliance with BJP and later with TRS only for political gains, she said. She also alleged that TDP colluded with Congress on several issues for its political mileage.
Both the parties are aiming to frame charges against Mr Jaganmohan Reddy, she stated. She hoped that YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy would overcome all the problems. Earlier, she was received by party cadres and taken to the meeting venue.
