Suryapet: Industries have to serve their purpose of providing employment to locals and increase the productivity, District Collector Surendra Mohan has said.He presided over the TS-iPASS and District Industries promotion committee meeting held at Collectorate on Wednesday.In the meeting, he ordered officials to inspect and give report on the functioning of 201 units included in the agenda within 15 days in order to release the Rs 650 crore subsidy and incentives to them.

The committee discussed the investment subsidy to 97 SC and 114 ST industrialists. It also discussed about 25 paise interest to two beneficiaries, reimbursement of stamp duty of land transfer to a person and sales tax exemption to a person and allotment of lands to three applicants.

Collector ordered officials of Industries department to give wide coverage on infrastructure and resources available in newly-formed Suryapet district to attract the enthusiastic industrialists. Thirty seven applications got approvals that came under TS-iPASS, he informed.

He advised General Manager, Industries department to create a WhatsApp group of line department officials of TS-iPASS to facilitate applicants get immediate approvals. He ordered officials to prepare a detailed report on industries that were shutdown in the district.

He further directed them to set up a call centre to promote the district as best destination for setting up industries.TSIIC Zonal Manager Ratan Rathode informed that the Corporation would like to set up eight industrial parks and Auto Nagars in the district.

DIC GM Babu Rao, TPO AK Reddy, TRANSCO Nodal Officer Srinivasulu, DPO Rammohan Raju, Registration Officer Vasudeva Rao, Department of Mines officer Sudhakar Reddy, Inspector of Factories KV Sridevi and others participated.
