Khammam: The DSP of Khammam sub-division K Suresh Kumar said cases would be registered against persons who use DJ sound systems in the city here in Khammam on Wednesday.

Stating that DJ sound system was banned in the city to avoid creating any inconvenience to people and to prevent noise pollution, the DSP said, cases would be registered under Nuisance Act against the persons who organise programmes using DJ sound systems and also on the owners who rent the system.”

He added that even though the permission was given for use of mike sets for the prayer houses, schools and colleges, the sound must not exceed as prescribed. He further added that even use of mike sets would not be allowed from 10.00 pm to 6.00 am.

“In view of complaints received from students preparing for various competitive examinations, such decision has been taken. Prevention of noise pollution is the social responsibility of everyone,” said
the DSP.
