Speaking at a district unit meeting of Telangana Panchayat Raj Chamber in Nalgonda on Monday, he stated that Bangaru Telangana would become a reality only when road connectivity, drinking water, sanitation, and other amenities were enhanced in rural areas. 

Nalgonda: The State government must form standing committees in Gram Panchayats and Mandal Parishads for supervising the execution of welfare schemes at field level, Telangana Panchayat Raj Chamber State convener Purushotham Reddy stated.

Speaking at a district unit meeting of Telangana Panchayat Raj Chamber in Nalgonda on Monday, he stated that Bangaru Telangana would become a reality only when road connectivity, drinking water, sanitation, and other amenities were enhanced in rural areas.

The State government should give chance to the elected representatives of local bodies in supervising and monitoring of welfare schemes to make sure the outcomes reach the poor and needy. Sarpanches, MPTCs, ZPTCs, and MPPs should be made part of these committees. Leaders Shishupal Reddy, B Sidhartha and others attended the meeting.
