Mahbubnagar: The Tourism department in Mahbubnagar has decided to collect common fee at various tourism centres in the district. At present, departments like Archaeology, Forest, Fisheries and Tourism are collecting separate fee from the tourists.

This has become a burden on the tourists as they have to shell out more money on entry tickets. To overcome this inconvenience, the Tourism department has decided to charge common entry fee at all tourist spots thereby integrating all the other departments.

Speaking to The Hans India, Panduranga Rao, district tourism and public relations officer said, “Thanks to the proactive initiatives taken up by the MLA Srinivas Goud and District Collector Ronald Rose, who have been striving for the development of tourism in the district.

To facilitate the tourists, we have decided to charge common fee at all tourist spots in the district.” Currently Pillalamarri, Mayuri, Peddacheru Tank Bund, Koilsagar, Koilkonda Fort and various pilgrimage centers like temples are being developed as tourism centres in the district.

The State government has allocated more than Rs 80 crore for the Tourism development in the district.
