Khammam: District secretary of Communist Party of India (CPI-ML) Red Flag Vemuri Bhaskar suggested the party activists to get inspired from great personalities who sacrificed their lives fighting for the uplift of weaker sections. On Thursday, the party organised a meet--‘Amaraveerula Samsmarana Sabha’-- here at CPI party office remembering leaders Chandra Pulla Reddy, Charu Majumdar, Tarimala Nagi Reddy, Devulapalli Venkateshwar Rao, K Venkaiah, Neelam Rama Chandraiah, Rama Narasaiah and Goerge Reddy, who sacrificed their lives fighting for poor.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhaskar demanded the government to fulfill its poll promises of three acres of land to Dalits and tribals, allotment of double bedroom houses to all eligible homeless besides issuing pattas of Podu lands to tribals who have been cultivating the Forest lands for many years. He added that the party was extending its support for the Chalo Hyderabad programme on December 4 to make the ‘Koluvula Kotlata’ programme successful. Party State Committee members Ramanna, Narayana Reddy, Srinu, Madhu and Ramu were present along with others.
