Nalgonda: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy advised the farmers to conserve the soils to make the agriculture fields more fertile to get better yields. Lands become polluted and infertile due to the selfish needs of the people and excessive use of fertilisers, he informed. Jagadish Reddy attended as the chief guest to the meeting conducted on the occasion of World Soil Conservation day at Udayaditya Bhavan in the premises of the Collectorate on Tuesday.

Addressing the gathering the Energy Minister said that unnecessary and excessive use of more fertilisers in cultivation of crops has been transforming the agriculture lands into useless lands. He advised the farmers to use the organic fertilisers to save earth from further deterioration. Following the footsteps of the old generations, he suggested farmers maintaining dairy farming and agriculture in parallel to conserve the Earth.
