Khammam: The government has sanctioned funds for the construction of new buildings with all facilities for four village panchayats in Mudigonda mandal of Khammam district.

With an aim to provide all facilities to village panchayats across the State, the government is sanctioning funds for the construction of new village panchayat buildings.

The government had sanctioned Rs 13 lakh each for the construction of four new buildings to village panchayats of Gokinepalli, Vallabi, Mallanapalem and Pammi villages in the Mudigonda mandal.

The new buildings will be constructed with 100 members seating capacity to attend Grama Sabhas along with separate chambers for Panchayat Secretary, village Sarpanch and one hall along with other facilities.

The previous governments did not sanction funds for the construction of new buildings to village panchayats but after the formation of separate statehood of Telangana, the TRS government focused on the development of village panchayats across the State and is sanctioning funds for the construction of new buildings for all those village panchayats which do not have buildings, said the Sarpanches of villages.
