Clearing of NREGS pending bills sought

Kothagudem: The Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Scheme works must be carried out transparently, said Sarapaka Sarpanch D Chandu Naik here on Tuesday. The Sarpanch took part in the social audit programme, which was conducted by the NREGS department at the gram panchayat office.
Speaking at the programme, the Sarpanch said the scheme was more useful to villagers in the country and there was a need to create awareness among people about the works. He further suggested officials concerned to clear all pending bills immediately.
After the programme, the Sarpanch distributed certificates to observer of the programme K Venkateswarlu, Co-Sarpanch P Srinivas, Ward Member Srinu, Field Assistant Sumalatha and Audit Employee SRP Chary.
