TDP, Cong support teachers dharna
Telugu Desam Party Telangana state president L Ramana on Thursday visited the dharna camp of members of Progressive Recognised Teachers Union (PRTU) at Chityala and expressed his solidarity with agitating teachers, who took up the dharna seeking scrapping of Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and implementation of unified services.
Nalgonda: Telugu Desam Party Telangana state president L Ramana on Thursday visited the dharna camp of members of Progressive Recognised Teachers Union (PRTU) at Chityala and expressed his solidarity with agitating teachers, who took up the dharna seeking scrapping of Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and implementation of unified services.
Addressing the gathering, he said retirement life of an employee was safe and secure under old pension scheme. With the introduction of CPS, the employees have been pushed to unsafe zone post their retirement. He assured that party would support teachers’ agitation till their demands were met. Congress party leader and Nakrekal former MLA Chirumarthy Lingaiah also extended his support to PRTU dharna.
