Speaking at a public meeting organised on the occasion, Nageshwar Rao said the government would distribute Rs.1,00,116 under the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme, introduced by the TRS government from this month. He handed over 80 Kalyana Lakshmi cheques to the beneficiaries.

Sitarama project, the Minister said, would irrigate 10,000 acres by providing Godavari water. Trial run of Mission Bhagiratha is now being conducted and it lasts till April-end, he said. Later, drinking water would be supplied to people through Mission Bhagiratha, he said.

“The Sattupalli constituency is very special for me. It is the people of Sattupalli who had given me this political life. Whatever the development required will be provided for Sattupalli constituency without asking,” said the Nageshwara Rao.
The government would provide Rs 4,000 input subsidy per an acre from this season to the farmers.

There was no need to go anywhere for the money, the members of the Farmers Coordination Committee would visit the houses of farmers and hand over the cheques directly to the farmers, said the Minister.The DCCB Chairman Muvva Vijaya Babu, DISHA Committee members Matta Dayanand, FCC Committee Convenor Sathyanarayana, MPP Appa Rao, ZPTC A Ananta Lakshmi, Sarpanch Rajendra Prasad Reddy, Revenue Divisional Officer and Superintending Engineer of Panchayat Raj were present along with others.
