Turned away from hospital, woman TB patient left to die

Mahbubnagar: Tuberculosis (TB) Hospital at Appanaplly in the district refused to admit a mother of two children. The apathy on the part of the doctors in the hospital has sparked widespread outrage.
The poor woman, Yellamma, who has been diagnosed with TB, accompanied by her father, went to the TB Hospital at Appanapally in Mahbubnagar district. The authorities, however, refused to admit her though she is very ill.
The doctors suggested that she approach the doctors in the Government Hospital in Mahbubnagar first and she can be admitted to the TB Hospital only advice of the former.
The woman along with her two children, Venkatesh (2) and Renuka (5), was seen pleading with doctors for help. It presented a heart-rending scene.
