Kothagudem: A dharna was conducted by the Junior Mining Engineering Trained employees (JMET) of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in front of the company’s main office here on Monday.
During the protest, JMET employees demanded that the SCCL management implement old regulations to regularise their jobs and to provide family quarters facilities to every employee.
They also demanded that the transfers be made immediately as per the promises made by the SCCL management at the time of recruitment. AITUC leader Seshaiaha and CITU leader Y Krishnaiha and others were present.
