Bring awareness on welfare schemes, officials told

Khammam : District in-charge Collector K Surendra Mohan said that the concerned district officials should take steps to ensure that the beneficiaries get all the details on the welfare schemes that were being implemented by the government. Speaking on the occasion of the 'Grievances Day' organized in the Zilla Parishad conference hall here on Monday, he directed the officials to sort out the issues relating to the distribution of white ration cards and sanctioning of Indiramma houses. He said that the officials should not make the beneficiaries to run around the government offices several times and inconvenience them for small things. The in-charge Collector said that the excise officials should take steps and monitor the functioning of country liquor shops with the help of women's organizations. He also directed them to resolve the problems of the physically challenged persons in the district.
