TD leader dares Sharmila to ask for special court

Vijayawada: Telugu Desam Party State general secretary Varla Ramaiah here on Wednesday dared YSR Congress Party leader YS Sharmila to ask the government for constitution of special court for the trial of cases against Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Ramaiah told the media persons that Sharmila had been blaming the TDP, not the courts for not granting bail for Jaganmohan Reddy. He said that the courts on several occasions told Jaganmohan Reddy and his advocates that the economic crimes committed by the Kadapa MP surpassed every crime reported in the country till date. It was for this reason, the courts were not granting bail to Jaganmohan Reddy, he said and advised Sharmila and other YSR Congress leaders not to hold the TD responsible. He further said that the crimes committed by Jaganmohan Reddy also overshadowed the crimes of Jharkhand former chief minister Madhu Koda, former union minister A Raja, DMK MP Kanimozhi in the past. He asked the YSR Congress leaders to demand for constitution of special court for the trial of the cases against Jaganmohan Reddy and see what would happen. He reiterated that the TD had no role in the cases against Jaganmohan Reddy or the judicial process. Ramaiah alleged that Jaganmohan Reddy had been meeting the political leaders in the jail. He said MIM leader, Asaduddhin Owaisi, legislators Gurunadha Reddy, Amaranadha Reddy and Chennakesava Reddy, YSR Congress leader Vasireddy Padma and others have been meeting Jaganmohan Reddy in the jail. This was proved in the information provided by the jail superintendent through the Right to Information Act, he added. He wondered how the jail officials were allowing political activity in the jail. He said that people in the State were watching these developments and have understood the political game being played by Jaganmohan Reddy and the other YSR Congress leaders. TD urban leaders Y Vedavyas, L Sairam Gowd, S Sanjay Varma and others were present at the news conference.
