Vijayawada: On Monday night, twin murders took place at Satyanarayanapuram in Vijayawada. A grandmother and her granddaughter were killed at their own residence in Tadankivaari Veedhi in Vijayawada. Satyanarayana, who lives in Shivalayam Veedhi has two sons. Both his sons were home away due to the ongoing Dussera holidays. On Monday, an unidentified person killed Satyanarayana's wife Punyavathi and their granddaughter Sai Chandrika by cutting their necks, when they were alone at home.
This incident took place on Monday night. The Vijayawada DCP Ravi Prakash started an investigation on this incident. He said the reporters that the miscreants might have entered the house with the pretext of lifting the house; and might have killed the duo during the same episode. The suspected lift mechanic has been arrested for interrogation.
