Four persons were killed in a road mishap that took place near Teacher’s Colony at Bhongir in Yadadri-Bhongir district.

The victims, identified as Maddi Saidulu (driver), Neelagiri Pedda Somaiah, Neegaliri Parashu Ramulu and Enuthala Yadagiri hailed from Gattu Singaram village of Addagudur mandal in the district.

According to the reports, Pedda Somaiah hired an SUV to take his son Parashu Ramulu to a doctor in Tirumalgiri after his condition deteriorated while relatives accompanied them.

Upon reaching the hospital, the doctors advised the family to shift Ramulu to Hyderabad for further treatment. However, the vehicle in which they were traveling rammed into a lorry from the rear killing four of them on the spot and three others injured.

Reports suggest that the mishap may have occurred due to negligent driving by Saidulu as a van driven by him had turned turtle near Jangaon 15 days back.

Police have registered a case and begun investigation.
