55-year-old man sexually assaults minor in Hyderabad, arrested

A 55-year-old man raped a minor on Saturday night at Shahinayathgunj in Hyderabad after befriending her by offering chocolates and candies.

The 14-year-old girl went missing during the late night power cut. Her parents meanwhile spent the whole night searching for her but she returned home on Sunday morning. Following this, the girl narrated the entire ordeal to her family and a complaint was registered.

The police arrested the accused, identified as Tulasi Ram Yadav, a watchman on Monday.

According to the police, the girl met Tulasi Ram, who became friends with her by offering chocolates, biscuits and ice creams during her cycling time in Goshamahal area. But on Saturday night, she went to Begum Bazaar Market after a power cut in her area and met him at his residence where the accused forced himself on her and sexually assaulted her.
