The Telangana postal circle has been chosen for Aadhaar Excellence Awards, 2018 for the fastest in the roll-out of Aadhaar across the country. Circle Chief Post Master Brigadier Chandra Sekhar Rao of Telangana will be receiving the Aadhaar Excellence Award.
Telangana is followed by Punjab and Bihar in this category.
UIDAI announced the awards to commend the efforts of India Post in setting up and operating Aadhaar Enrolment and Updation Centres across India. The awards will be presented on July 11 in New Delhi.
A total of 66 awards are being given in three categories, including, best performing postal circle, fastest rollout in the country and best performing post office in the postal region. Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Punjab have bagged best performing postal circle awards.
