Arvind Kumar said, “Durgam Cheruvu Lake Front Health and Recreational Park is a step in the right direction as we want to make Hyderabad a cycling-friendly city. I would like to encourage more and more people to come and take advantage of this facility and I would also use it. Our next push will be to provide cycling tracks on regular roads,” Durgam Cheruvu is undergoing a steady transformation and it is one of the first lake fronts in Hyderabad which also enjoys a Health and Recreational Park for the benefit of the citizens. The track constructed under the aegis of K Raheja Corp’s CSR initiative, is currently 2.2 km in length. However, by April 2019, once the complete periphery is ready, citizens will be able to enjoy 4.4 km of uninterrupted cycling, jogging and walking.

Hari Chandana, Zonal Commissioner, GHMC said, “The Durgam Cheruvu Lake Front project is GHMC’s contribution to provide a healthy living environment to the citizens. It would not have been possible without the active participation of the Government, multiple civic bodies, K Raheja Corp and the cooperation of the citizens. The success of the Durgam Cheruvu Lake Front will encourage us to take many more such projects.”

Shrawan Gone, Head of K Raheja Corp’s Hyderabad operations said, “The Durgam Cheruvu Lake Front is an important project for K Raheja Corp’s CSR portfolio. Upon completion, this will be a unique infrastructure available to the citizens. The Park has been built around the perimeter of the lake and health-conscious citizens are expected to start using the cycling, jogging, and walking tracks regularly.

Deenanath Harapanahalli, founder and CEO, Cykul said, “This is another forward-looking initiative by the Government of Telangana. Durgam Cheruvu Lake Front is one of the best in the city and its not only helps revive the lake but also given the citizens another scenic venue to participate in health activities.
