Warangal: The diamond jubilee celebrations of National Institute of Technology, Warangal began today i.e on October 8. Vice-president Venkaiah Naidu launched the celebrations at the institute on a grand note.
The institute will be celebrating its year-long diamond jubilee events from October 10, 2018 to October 10, 2019 marking the completion of its 60 years.
The institute was set up in the year in 1959 which was the first regional engineering college then. It was named as NIT in 2001.
During the year-long celebrations, it will focus on the Technical Education Policy, Ranking of HEI (TEI), accreditation programmes and Teaching-Learning process.
