IT and industries minister KT Rama Rao promised to increase the investment of Rythu Bandhu scheme to Rs 10,000 per acre if voted to power in the forthcoming elections.

At present, the TRS government is aiding farmers by providing Rs 8,000 crop investment to farmers per acre under two phases Rs 4000 each for Kharif and Rabi seasons.

Addressing the public meeting Praja Ashirwada Sabha at Kalwakurthy in Mahabubnagar district, KTR also assured to provide irrigation water to 1,10,000 acres for cultivation by making use of water from Palamuru lift irrigation project.

KTR also lashed out at the Congress leaders and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu who had gone against the construction of Palamuru project which is now providing irrigation water to lakh acres of agricultural land.
