Trimex workers demanded minimum wages

Srikakulam: Contract workers of Trimex sands private limited demanded minimum wages, provident fund (PF), employee state insurnace (ESI) facility, accidental insurance etc.

Under the aegis of CITU contract workers of Trimex met minister for labour, Pithani Satyannarayana at Srikakulam on Friday and complained that the company has not been implementing labour laws for the last ten years. They complained the minister in written form against company by demanding legal action against it.

After receiving complaint minister assured to solve the issue legally. CITU Srikakulam division secretary, M.Tirupati Rao led the agitation, Trimex workers union president and general secretary, Y.Suryanarayana, G.NagaRaju and others attended.
