He said to the crowd, choose the party who struggled for a separate Telangana state for 14 long years and finally achieved it for you all.

You all have seen it with your own eyes how TRS had ruled for the last 4 and half years, said KCR. Don’t believe in TRS, Congress and other parties which did no good for the state or people.

KCR did not mention any candidates name in particular. The meeting was prompt to say that the KCR’s victory was certain this time. He targeted TDP president and AP chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu and congress leaders for opposing irrigation projects in the state.

KCR mentioned that irrigation minister T Harish Rao who had shared the Dias with him, was also working towards ensuring water to irrigate 25 lakh acre in erstwhile Mahabubnagar district and more than eight lakh had already got water through various projects. TRS chief also promised to establish a 100 bed hospital a nursing college and polytechnic college in kodangal.

He said he would ensure development of backward areas of town. Heavy police were deployed at the venue to take extra measures for security. In a view of the call given by Revanth Reddy to resort to protests against KCR addressing a meeting in town.

While TRS supporters were on their way to the public meeting there was one stray instance of stone pelting at them by Revanth’s supporters.

Though no one was injured. Police however, resorted to caning a few people at the public meeting as they tried to come out of the public meeting venue, crossing a rope which was tied to prevent movement of people on the toad as the CM’s convoy was to pass that way on his return after the meeting to the helicopter.
