A pregnant woman was pushed off the train by a dacoit after she raised alarm over ongoing theft in the moving train in Anantapur on Tuesday.

The incident occurred when the victim Divya, a seven-month-old pregnant is heading to Bengaluru on a train along with her mother-in-law to meet her husband Srinivasulu. She boarded Yashwanthpur express on Monday night in Machilipatnam. In the early hours on Tuesday, the dacoit interrupted Divya and threatened to hand over her jewellery when she was returning to her berth from the washroom.

When she raised alarm, the miscreant pushed off her train and later he too jumped off the train and robbed her jewellery. Farmers who noticed Divya falling off the train came to her rescue and called an ambulance. She was admitted to Dharmavaram government hospital and was later shifted to a private hospital in Anantapur for better treatment.
