A seven-year-old girl was raped by her neighbour on Thursday in Dammapet mandal of Bhadradri-Kothagudem district.
Getting into details, the girl who went to her neighbour's home to borrow rice was raped by the accused. He took the girl to his house on the pretext of offering rice and committed to the crime.
As the girl did not return home for a long time, her mother went to the neighbour's home and learned about the gruesome act. Based on the complaint registered by the woman, the police registered a case.
The girl has been sent for a hospital for medical examination.
