Vijayawada:The APSRTC employees will go on indefinite strike from February 6 if the RTC management and State government fail to fulfill their demands. The JAC leaders of various unions held discussions at the office of the recognised union,The Employees Union, on Wednesday and decided to go on indefinite strike from February 6.

JAC Convener P Damodara Rao and other leaders addressing media said the talks held between the JAC leaders and the RTC management have failed. JAC leaders said employees will begin strike prepararions on January 25 by staging protests at all 128 depots of the APSRTC in the state.

The JAC leaders made it clear the staff are not responsible for the losses. Damodara Rao said government policies and rise of diesel prices are the two primary reasons for the losses suffered by the RTC. Earlier the JAC leaders held detailed discussions on their demands and the response of the RTC management
