Styles n Weaves, a 3-day exhibition kicked off at Kamma Sangam hall, Ameerpet. "We are holding the exhibition for the past five years and it is doing really good. Every year there is an improvement in the variety, quality, and creative aspects of the stock exhibited,” says Manjulatha, the organiser of the exhibition.
There are around 80 stalls showcasing variety of apparels including sarees and handlooms from across India. “Last year the business was good. This year there is a lot of competition and so there is less business when compared to previous years," says Archana who sells imitation jewellery.
"I have been a part of this lifestyle exhibition since few years now, and I hope business will be good by the end of the show. I will be going to Vijayawada from here to participate in another exhibition,” said another stall owner Neha, who has come from Mumbai.
While a few are not so happy with Hyderabad, there are businessmen like Mohammed Ramzan who is very happy with the response he gets every year from the city.
He used to participate in such exhibitions and come all the way from Madhya Pradesh with his chanderi sarees. “Now I settled in Hyderabad,” he shares.
