YSRCP cadres in a fix

Mahbubnagar: The activists of YSR Congress in the district were in Catch-22 situation. For the last few weeks, many YSR Congress leaders from all over Telangana have been leaving the party. Naturally these resignations reflected on the leadership in the district.

YSR Congress leaders in the Telangana were taken aback after YSR Congress honorary president YS Vijayamma and president YS Jaganmohan Reddy submitted resignations in favour of Samaikyandhra and many leaders have been participating in the agitation or a united state. They surmised that the party was in favour of united State and that has been hard to digest for these leaders. The party activists in the remote Telangana villages have also decided to distance themselves to the party in the given circumstances.

Kalvakurti former MLA Edma Krishna Reddy, central committee member Balamanemma, senior leaders Ravula Ravindranath Reddy, former MLA Swarna Sudhakar Reddy, Krishnamohan Reddy and other key leaders have been rethinking over continuing in the party.

However, it is not clear whether they would join some other party and get back to the Congress party. Several MLAs, in-charge persons of various assembly constituencies and mandals have been in touch with the Telangana leaders before taking a decision.
