Yadagirigutta (Nalgonda): Thousands of devotees participated in Rathotsavam of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy in Yadagirigutta on Friday. As part of the ongoing eleven-day Brahmotsavams being celebrated in Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devastanam, known as Telangana Tirupati, from March 14 to 24, the priests took Lord Narasimha and his consort Lakshmi in a chariot. Many VIPs participated in the 'Rathotsavam' and the devotees pulled the chariot chanting 'Namo Narayana'. The deities were taken in a procession in main streets in the temple town. Devotees broke coconuts in front of the chariot and offered fruits and flowers to the lord. Devotees from the neighbouring districts thronged the temple to have a glimpse of the holy event and the temple management made elaborate arrangements for the programme. They cheerfully dragged the flower-bedecked car through the four streets encircling the temple. Earlier, priests conducted Vendi Garudavahana Seva to the deity. Artistes dressed like Sri Narasimha Swami, goddess Sri Devi' and Bhoo Devi attracted the visitors. The Brahmotsavams will come to an end on Sunday. Executive Officer Krishnaveni and temple chairman Narasimha Murthy were present
