Sathya Sai Baba Postal Stamp For 88th Birthday. Clean drinking water will Now Be Provided To 15 Villages In Anantapuram District
Anantapur: Sathya Sai Baba devotees have a reason to rejoice even as they celebrate the 88th birthday of their guru on November 23.
Union minister Killi Kruparani who took part in the celebrations at Puttaparthy said she would release a Rs 5 stamp on Baba for his contribution towards philanthropic activities. Minister Geetha Reddy too participated in the festivities at Prashanthi Nilayam.
The Sathya Sai Seva organization has continued its good work as per the guidelines set by Baba. They will now provide clean drinking water to 15 villages in Anantapuram district.
It's worth mentioning here that the government had earlier released Rs 80 crores for a drinking water project covering 120 villages of Kothacheruvu, Bukkarayapatnam and Puttaparthy.
Bhajans, voluntary blood donation camps, free distribution of food and clothes for the poor, chanting of mantras and cultural programmes were organised in samithis across the globe to mark the occasion.
