Rajya Sabha poll schedule released; notification on January 21. An election poll schedule for Rajyasabha has been released on Tuesday by the election commission of India.

An election poll schedule for Rajyasabha has been released on Tuesday by the election commission of India. It is evident that the tenure of as many as 55 members of Parliament will expire on April, 4. The detailed notification will be issued on January 21 for the same. Of these 55 members, 6 retiring MPs of Rajya Sabha are from Andhra Pradesh.


Based on the recent calculations, for each MP seat of Rajya Sabha, there is a need of support from as many as 39 MLAs. From Congress Party, 3 MPs can gain the victory very easily as the party has the strength of 146 MLAs.

From the other side, with the strength of 80 MLAs, TDP can win 2 MP seats. TRS has the support of as many as 22 MLAs and with an expected support from MIM and excess MLAs of Congress party of Telangana region, the party may win 1 MP seat. According to the sources, the TRS party has all set to bring K Keshava Rao as their party’s nominee, who was also the former member of Congress party.

According to the political analysts, the victory of K Keshava Rao is for sure, as he will surely get the support from Telangana congress MLAs for being the former member of the same party.
