New Delhi: The Chief Minister of the state of Delhi and the president of Aam Admi party, Arvind Kejriwal on Monday slept on the road, the entire night. Without bothering for the chilling cold, accompanied by his supporters and ministers, Kejriwal slept on the road near Rail Bhavan.
It is evident that Kejriwal has been protesting against the police who denied raids on the team, who were allegedly involved in supply of drugs and prostitution. He warned the union home ministry that he would attack the raj path, where the Republic day celebrations will be held on January 26, if the problem is not resolved.
Kejriwal said there was no question of discussion on the subject matter and denied to call off his stir till their demands get materialized. He said the protection of women in Delhi was not the matter of discussion rather a matter of opting measures.
He wondered how the union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde was able to sleep properly, once so many crimes have been taking place against women. Kejriwal cleared his stand that he would not participate in any sort of discussions on this matter.
He addressed the media and said throughout the day on Monday, they used the Rail Bhavan toilet. But, said Kejriwal, the same was closed on Tuesday. He said they were not permitted even to procure food to the site of protest and said he had to go to the barricades to get a cup of tea.
