Radhe Maa Bhavan, Mumbai:
Devotees of Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa tasted the bliss of Gurbani by holding their 12th annual paath of Holy Guru Granth Sahibji on March 2. The paath was part of the grand birthday celebrations of Guru Maa that concluded with the 12th Grand Jagran of Maa Durga and Divya Darshan of Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa at BEC Ground, Goregaon (West), Mumbai, on March 3.

"The paath of Guru Granth Sahibji was done for the benefit of devotees of Guru Maa who holds a special place in her heart for the teaching of the Gurus and the Granth Sahibji. This has been done for the last 12 years in Mumbai in a spirit of bhakti, surrender and love for the way of the Gurus. In the last one month, our volunteers have been able to serve God's children - the poor, the saints and sadhus and the underprivileged in orphanages, old age homes and institutions for people with special needs. The initiatives culminated in the jagran, which provided us with the opportunity to spread the message of bhakti through bhajans, kirtan and simran in the Kali Yuga. The jagran began at 8 pm and continued till 5 am the next day.The arrangements were flawless. Thousands of devotees had darshan, attended kirtan and were fed at the langar," said Sanjeev Gupta, managing trustee of the Mamtmai Shri Radhe Guru Maa Charitable Trust.

Mr. Gupta says the trust plans to expand its list of initiatives to include new areas like helping students with writing skills, spoken English and training of women of limited means in skills like papad making, sewing, computer skills and small scale home businesses. "We are starting pilot projects soon and depending on the response we will extend these programs to all parts of the country through the year. I thank all sevadars who have worked together during this big event with tremendous dedication, bhakti-bhaav and love and a readiness to work hard. We count on their support in our efforts to serve Maa Bhagwati and Guru Maa, who is our ultimate friend, philosopher and guide," Mr. Gupta added.
