5.6-magnitude earthquake hits Assam, no damage reported

A moderate earthquake measuring 5.6on the Richter scale jolted Assam and the rest of northeast India at around 6.35 am on Sunday.

The epicentre was located near Kokrajhar at a depth of 10 kilometres. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
