Kota (Raj): Ten child labourers, aged between 13 to 15 years, were rescued in joint effort by Anti-Human Trafficking Cell and an NGO.

The boys were rescued yesterday from various messes in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar under Jhawarnagar police station area here, Circle Inspector of Anti-Human Trafficking Cell, Kota, Kaniz Fatima said.

The rescued children were forced to work from early morning till night and were paid Rs 2,000 to 3,000 per month, the CI said, adding, these kids would also supply tiffin to students staying as paying guests.

The boys belong to different districts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and are school dropouts, the CI said.

They were produced before the Child Welfare Committee which has sent them to shelter homes, she said, adding, their counseling is still going on and their family members were informed.

The owners of the messes were booked under relevant sections of IPC in this regard, she added.

Meanwhile, an 11-year-old boy was rescued yesterday from a passenger train at Kota railway station.

The members of NGO, Child Line, found the boy alone in one of the bogies of Bhind-Morena passenger train.

The counselling of the rescued boy, from Madhya Pradesh, is underway, Fatima said.

Besides, three girls, aged between 11 to 12 years, were rescued in Rampura area of the city, she added.
