No Infiltration Into J&K This Year, Asserts Army. Jammu and Kashmir’s prime Army commander on Monday stated no cross-border infiltration happened this year in the state.

Udhampur: Jammu and Kashmir’s prime Army commander on Monday stated no cross-border infiltration happened this year in the state. He, however, flagged South Kashmir area as a reason for concern for the safety setup.

“As per an evaluation, which is completed by all intelligence businesses, there are figures of final three years 2012–2015 about efficiently infiltrated (militants). As many as ninety seven individuals infiltrated in 2013 adopted by sixty five in 2014,” General Officer Commanding In Chief (GoC-In-H), Northern Command, Lt Gen DS Hooda stated. “As per our evaluation is worried, no one has efficiently infiltrated from throughout (the border) this year,” Lt Gen Hooda informed PTI in an interview.

He nevertheless stated that the majority of those infiltration bids are literally happening in Kashmir area and it is just after the snow melts in July, August, September, October months, once you see a peak in infiltration.

Lt Gen Hooda stated that 100 militants had been neutralized in 2013 alongside LoC and the hinterland adopted by killing of 150 militants in 2014 and 40 militants this year until now.

On the safety state of affairs in J&K, the Army Commander stated “See there’s a little bit of concern. I won’t say that the state of affairs has gone out of hand.
