All India BCs’ Welfare Association along with AP BCs’ Welfare Association members held a dharna and a rally at Jantar Mantar here on Tuesday demanding 50 percent reservations to BCs' in Legislative bodies. Addressing the gathering, the all India president of the Association, R Krishnaiah, TDP MLA, decried the silence of the governments in this regard. The BCs of the country had been demanding reservations to take forward their cause. It was a justifiable demand and they were not begging for the same but seeking it as a right, he added.
Similarly, another demand for reservations in promotions too was pending, he said.
