Chandigarh : Former Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Sukhpal Singh Khaira joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Friday.The main reason for Khaira's exit is assumed to be his disappointment over Congress president Sonia Gandhi's recent decision to appoint Captain Amarinder Singh as the president of the Punjab unit of the party, as also the appointment of Ambika Soni and Lal Singh to new positions in the party.
Khaira had earlier accused Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi of forgetting to bring about the promised "generational change" by playing a big hand in making these appointments.
