Mayawati rakes up quota demand in pvt sector

Lucknow: Asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi to rein in his partymen and RSS issuing "misleading statements" on reservation, BSP chief Mayawati today called for quota in private sector and promotions.

"Instead of wasting time in giving clarifications, the prime minister should first rein in his partymen, those in government and RSS who have been continuously giving misleading and wrong statements on the issue of reservation," she said.

"Despite issuing clarifications, it is becoming difficult for people to believe him... it now appears to be a mere 'jumla baji' (rhetoric) like the promise of 'achche din' and Rs 20 lakh in the bank accounts to all individuals by bringing back black money," she said.
