Yarlagadda Durga Rao (35) alias Nakkala Pandu was residing in Mastan Manyam Colony with his family. He was the main accused in many murder cases and a rowdy sheet was against him in the rural police station. Recently, police have arrested him along with former sarpanch Reddy Appala Naidu and others on the charges of conspiracy to eliminate the Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar.
Nakkala Panducame out of jail on bail recently and he should sign in the police station regularly. The police went to his house and started harassing him to take him to police station every day. Irkedby police visiting their house regularly, his wife abused and accused Pandu for the police harassment. Vexed with the police torture, Pandu decided to end his life.
As usual, when the rural police called him to the station on Sunday, he along with other rowdy sheeters attended the station. The police sent away all the rowdy sheeters except Nakka Pandu. When questioned about the detention in the station, the police started harassing him and asked him to stay up to evening. He went to the back side of the police station and consumed pesticide mixing it with All-out liquid and fell unconscious.
