Nellore: To vent their resent over the decision of formation of separate Telangana State, teachers held open school at Gandhi Bomma Centre in Nellore town on Sunday and explained the losses that will incur due to separate State. The leaders of teachers association demanded to take back the decision of formation of separate State.
Ved pundits, under the auspices of Nellore rural MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy performed homams in several temples in the town for the unity of the State. The MLA visited all the temples and held special pujas. He also prayed at Anthony Church in Fatehkhanpet.
On the other hand, the entire Nellore town was filled with Yadav community people who came from all over the district to take part in Amani Simha Garjana. They took out a rally from Amani Restaurant to Gandhi Bomma Centre via RTC, Madra bus stand and VRC. During the rally, they exhibited kolatams, tolu bommalata (shadow puppetry), keelu gurram, pandari bhajans and other folk programmes.
With about 50,000 persons attending, the Swarnamukhi Samaikya Garjana was successful at Naidupet on Sunday.
The JAC organsied a public meeting at Naidupet RTC bus stand to declare its decision to continue the agitation till united Andhra Pradesh is achieved.
