One can read boards reading 'Speed Thrills-But Kills', 'wear seatbelts and helmets', 'do not drive using cellphones' across the ton. However, not even one percent care to follow those rules.

A the most on one particular day people organise safety drive and then forget about it. This despite the increase in road accidents due to excess speed. People zoom past, race on outer ring roads and national highways putting their lives or others' lives in danger and also giving sleepless nights to their parents and family members.
People turn furious when police fine them for wrong driving and flouting other rules and try to get out of them by bribing them. The silly excuses they offer for flouting rules are
--U turn is too far, so we take the wrong route
--traffic jam is too much, so we drive on pavements
--use of helmets results in bald head.
--use of seatbelts is time consuming.. etc,etc
But they don't really have any answer when asked if these are more important than their lives or lives of their near and dear ones or innocent people. So think about safety before speed. Safety first and speed next.
